In the Gruffalo's Child the Big Bad Mouse was really just a shadow! We learned that shadows are created when a source of light is blocked by something solid... like us! We talked about different sources of light such as the sun and the moon (which was in the Gruffalo's child book) and how when we stand in front of the light, the light goes around us. We went outside to investigate our shadows and P2/3 drew around each others shadows. We also talked about what our source of light was (the sun) and what direction it was coming from.
