Over the last few weeks P4/5 have been busy making sure the local birds that visit our school are well fed! We had a lovely afternoon mixing lard and food seed together to make bird food we could hang outside on our many bird feeders that we have placed around the school grounds. As part of the Big Garden Bird Watch 2025 we took to the playground and went bird watching! we checked the bird feeders and re-filled water tubs as well as keeping a keen eye out for the birds flying past. The children soon realised the quieter we were and the slower we moved the more we could hear the birds singing and spotted more birds!
