P2/3 have started their new topic "The Gruffalo's Child". This week we looked at the rhymes that are used in the book. P2/3 have discovered that the rhyming words can be found at the endo f the line. We looked at what sounds both words have that makes them rhyme. P2/3 played a snowball game and found their matching partner(who had the matching rhyming word) and they enjoyed a lesson where they hunted for the rhymes. P2 did some great cooperative learning partner work as they sorted the rhyming words and P3 created their own small rhyming poems based on the book.
