This week it has been very cold. We have been thinking all about our winter weather and winter birds. We made fat balls in play. We used cheese, bird seed and raisins. we mixed them altogether with lard. we rolled the mixture into a ball shape and made fat balls. We put them out around the school. When we checked later all the fat balls had disappeared the birds must have been so hungry. We were even lucky enough to spot a robin eating one of our fat balls!
